Who I am
I’m Stef Atkinson, the owner of House of Glow. I’m responsible for looking after your personal information. You can contact me on 07541461471.
What I collect
Your name and contact details when you enquire or book. Your consent & consultation form, which includes health information such as medical history, medication, allergies, skin conditions and pregnancy, because I need it to treat you safely. Notes on your treatments and how your skin responds. Photos, but only if you agree. Basic visitor information from this website, using cookies.
Why I use it
To book and carry out your treatments safely, keep proper treatment records and contact you about appointments. I only use your health information to check a treatment is safe for you, and I ask for your clear consent first. I only take or use photos with your written consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who I share it with
I never sell your information or use it for anyone else’s marketing. It’s only shared with the services I use to run the business, such as my booking system and website host, with my insurer if there’s a claim or complaint, or where the law requires it. Some of these services may store information outside the UK, where safeguards are in place.
How long I keep it
Treatment records are kept for 7 years, then securely deleted.
How I keep it safe
All digital records are password protected via my Faces account. I never put client details or photos into AI tools.
Your rights
You can ask to see your information, correct it, or ask me to stop using it. You can ask me to delete it, though I may need to keep treatment records for the period above. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
